The team currently consists of Steve Blethyn, Richard Lush, James Lambourne and Jamie Thomas.

Steve is the area coordinator for our patch.  He is a former Royal Engineer, a surveyor, navigation instructor and wilderness medic, Steve is a mountaineer with many years experience organising expeditions and events overseas.  He is no stranger to extreme conditions having taken part in expeditions in the Arctic, Central America, and the Himalayas and many other expeditions to the world’s most remote locations.  Steve is a member of the St John’s Ambulance as well as the first community responder in the area.  You can learn more about Steve at his website http://www.steveblethyn.co.uk/.

Richard joined the after seeing the South Central Ambulance Service trailer at the Shinfield show in August 2008. He qualified in September 2008 and was straight in the deep end with a call to support a lone Paramedic who had already been dispatched.  Richard is a qualified First Aid Instructor and EMT with many years of First Aid Experience under his belt.  He also owns 1st Response Medical Services Limited a Private Ambulance Service based in Reading which provides first aid training and event medical cover http://www.1stresponsemedical.co.uk . He is also on bank for a couple of private ambulance services in the area.

James Lambourne joined the scheme in December 2008.

Jamie Thomas joined the scheme January 2010.

Gillian Steedman is our newest member who joined our scheme in March 2010.
